DisneyLand Resort also known as Disneyland is an entertainment resort which is located in Anaheim California. It is owned by the Walt Disney Company with the Parks and Resorts and is also home to the theme parks. It also comprise of three hotels and a shopping mall, dinning place, and the Downtown Disney which is an entertainment complex.
Disneyland Resort was developed by Walt Disney in 1950. The guests were welcomed on the 17th of july 1955. With the key President Michael Colglazer. During the summer in the 1990's , Disney Executives had a meeting upon which they came up with a plan for a california based theme park which will be an expansion to disney land Resort. with a budget of $1.4 billion dollars with building of more parks , a retail district and more hotels.
Then during the 2001 to present there was more expansion like the Main Street Electrical Parade, and also added "who wants to be a millionaire- Play it" and offered discounts admission and other promotions which was aimed at boosting the attendance of the place.
Other attractions included were The Many adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
Then in 2007 Pirates of the Caribbean was refurbished to modify it look to reach the franchise movie.
In 2007 there was another announcement to expand disneyland resort with a budget of $1.1 billion dollars for Disney's California Adventure Park and also the construction of a new land based on the Disney Pixar film cars. The new disney World of Color showing the evening water. And then the completion of the Disney Grand California Hotel.
Current facilities of disneyland resort include the Parks (Disneyland Park, and Disney California Adventure Park).
The shopping and dining entertainment also called the Downtown Disney, the Resort Hotels Disneyland Hotel which was originally built by Jack Wrather in 1955. The Disney Grand California Hotel and Spa and the Disney Paradise Pier Hotel.
Disneyland Resort in may 2008 issued a magazine called Park world which reported that Disneyland had 14.87 million visits which made it number 2 worldwide. and also Disney california adventue had 5.68 million visits which made it number 11. In 2012 Disney california adventure attracted 7,775,000 visitors and when the two parks were combined, there was a total of 23,738,000 visitors.
